Dr. Tarek Lahdhiri, Ph.D, P.E.
Dr. Lahdhiri received his BS in electrical Engineering (1988),
MS in Telecommunication Systems (1990), and Ph.D degrees in Control systems (1995).
Currently, Dr. Lahdhiri is working for General Motors Corporation at the
GM Technical Center in Warren, Michigan. He is managing and leading several
projects in the area of advanced electrical development and validation
of vehicle control systems and subsystems. Dr. Lahdhiri is a licensed
Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan.
Dr. Lahdhiri authored and co-authored over 10 journal papers and 30 conference
papers and his areas of interest include control systems, modeling and validation
of nonlinear complex systems, real-time hardware-in-the-loop simulations,
and engineering management.
Dr. Lahdhiri has been an active member within the IEEE organization.
He held the position of Director of Professional Activities, IEEE Southeast
Michigan Section (1997-2002) and Region 4 PACE Chair (2003-2004).
Currently he is the Region 4 Membership Development Chair, the Region 4
coordinator for the IEEE-USA Employment & Career Service (ECS) Committee,
and the Career Co-Chair in the IEEE-USA Career and Workforce Policy Committee (CWPC).
