2010 IEEE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
on ELECTRO/INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

General Conference Chair Welcome Message

Dear Conference Attendees,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my honor and privilege to welcome you to the 2010 IEEE International Conference on Electro / Information Technology (EIT 2010) being organized under the aegis of Illinois State University. The conference is sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

The purpose of this conference is to provide a forum for academic and industrial investigators from different countries to share principles, practices, concepts, and experiences, exchange ideas, and discuss developments. The focus is on basic/applied research in the fields of electrical and computer engineering as they relate to information technology and its applications. The interplay between academia and industry results in a better understanding of the impact of this growing field.

We have received several papers from researchers outside the Unites States including countries like Bangladesh, Beirut, China, India, Jamaica, Jordan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sweden, Trinidad and Tobago, and Zimbabwe. I hope you are taking this opportunity to network with your colleagues at universities and businesses around the world.

One of the highlights of this conference is a Professional Development track with associated Professional Development Hours (PDHs) running parallel with the Technical Research Paper track. We have tutorials by experts on a variety of topics like Safe Browsing, Hack-proofing the Apps, IPv6, Data Security for Power Systems Personnel, Sustainable Transportation Systems, Project Management, and Leadership Skills.

I thank our highly acclaimed keynote speakers, research paper reviewers, and our sponsors. Above all, I am grateful to the Organizing Committee who volunteered countless hours and to you, the attendees for making this conference a success!
