Elaena Uses Knife, an SDSM&T student and member of the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe, will perform a Hoop Dance for IEEE EIT 2013 attendees on Friday May 10 before the evening banquet. "Hoop Dancing tells a story of the Native American culture using the hoops and what it represents. The hoop represents the world and everything in it," stated Uses Knife.

In addition to being published in the EIT2013 Conference Proceedings, and IEEE Xplore Digital Library,
distinguished selected papers accepted and presented in EIT 2013,
after further revisions, may be published in one or more of the following journals:
